A suspected arson occurred near the Life Sciences Building on Monday at 11:20 p.m., with UCSB students receiving an Emergency Alert regarding the incident yesterday. The fire was discovered by a student who noticed a small fire burning on the sidewalk near the building, and the flame was quickly extinguished with no damage to the building. The suspect is currently unknown and the UCSB Police Department is investigating the incident.
