UCSB police responded to a report of knifing at the UCen yesterday and subsequently alerted students through the Campus Alert system.
The suspect, 29-year-old Umberto Castellanos-Alvarez, a 6-foot, 200 lbs. Hispanic male with a shaven head, was last seen fleeing the area on bicycle.
No one was injured in the assault.
