Last month, the San Francisco county and city supervisors voted 10 to 1 to ban plastic bags from supermarkets, forever ending the age-old question of whether the ‘human should empty more plastic trash into a landfill or just have more trees cut down in order to package its groceries. Thank goodness someone stepped in. Let’s get some caramel macchiatos in a throwaway venti cup with heat wrappers to celebrate.
