As an alumnus of UCSB, I was horrified to read about the involvement of UCSB students with Playboy magazine. Isn’t it about time that students realize that being ranked a “Top 10 Party School” only serves to hurt our chances of finding a serious job after graduation? Having students promote this widespread belief by posing in Playboy doesn’t do our school justice. Our faculty is viewed as one of the best in the world – if you don’t believe me call Stockholm and ask for the Nobel Foundation. Nobody can ask someone to not do something like pose in Playboy, but I can ask: Please don’t do it representing UCSB.
