There is a lack of student attendance and support for UCSB athletics. As my co-worker pointed out, we could count the people in the stands of Harder Stadium with our fingers. UCSB’s women’s basketball has been ranked in the top 15 in the nation for the last two years and has made it to the Sweet 16. Our men’s soccer team is currently ranked #1 in the nation. These teams deserve our support.

I understand that this is a time commitment and that we all have things to do on Thursday and Saturday nights, but most games are over by 8:30 p.m. For schedules of upcoming events, check out the UCSB athletics website: www.ucsbgauchos.com.
