A couple random thoughts on the 3rd district supervisor election:

Why all this hub-bub about a county split? In my mind, it’s already happened. I could spend an hour telling someone about the charms of this area and the words “Santa Maria” or “Lompoc” would never come up. Nor would “Goleta,” for that matter.

And, should I remove a candidate from consideration for Supervisor because he just walked into this office wearing a shirt that matches the I-Mac I’m using? Well, you how I-Macs have that neon look going on? I’m using the pink one.

Wednesday’s forecast: Don’t waltz into the Nexus office looking like Rainbow Brite. We dig dark colors in this cave, Mr. Happy-pants.
