Editor, Daily Nexus,

When I think of the major issues of how I view relationships/sex, getting revenge about past boyfriends and choosing “appropriate” dildos are not usually my primary concerns. If Sarah Kent’s articles are meant to be funny, then I have missed the punch line. Her arguments are made for no purpose beyond sensationalism. This “sex column” could be written in a mature, adult manner. I do not feel that I am overestimating the integrity of the UCSB population in assuming a desire for more relevant information. Why couldn’t there be a frank discussion about campus rape, STD’s or relationship advice? (Wow, relationships and sex in the same context – what a concept!) These are the real concerns faced every day here. By never acknowledging them in a so-called sex column, the Nexus and Sarah Kent are as much as dismissing their importance.
