Isla Vista Foot Patrol officers arrested the male suspected of breaking into two homes last weekend last Thursday night.

The suspect, 26 year-old Frank Daniels, was arrested outside of Java Jones in I.V. for violation of his probation – regarding a prior burglary arrest and conviction – and for the burglary of two I.V. residences.

Authorities said Daniels attempted to flee the scene and deputies had to use force in order to arrest him.

Sheriff’s deputies have accused Daniels of a burglary on the 6600 block of Del Playa Dr. in which the suspect entered through an unlocked sliding glass door and sexually assaulted the female resident. The suspect also stole $227 in cash from the residence.

Daniels is also suspected of entering a residence on the 6600 block of Trigo Rd. through an unlocked door and searching the bedroom of the sleeping female resident, before making off with $13 in cash.

Daniels is presently being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail without bail for violation of his probation, and on the two counts of burglary and one count of sexual battery.
