UCPD Issues Timely Warning for Multiple Burglaries and Break-Ins on Campus Property

The UC Santa Barbara Police Department issued a timely warning to students Tuesday evening following several reports of burglaries and two vehicle break-ins that occured between Sept. 20 and 21 on campus property.

The burglaries happened at the UCSB Greenhouse and Garden Project, located west of Harder Stadium, between Sunday morning and Monday morning, according to the email. The burglars pried open two sheds and stole “a number of” tools, according to the timely warning.

The two vehicle break-ins occurred near Storke Family Housing at Parking Lot 56 between Sunday night and Monday morning. Victims in both break-ins reported stolen items, according to the timely warning.
