Halloween:
Halloween has been I.V.’s most notorious event for years. Tens of thousands of people descend every year to drink, roam the streets and dress up (or down). And it’s not just for one night either – festivities typically last for days.

Floatopia:
Ah, Floatopia. It was good while it lasted. Floatopia was I.V.’s biggest beach party until last spring when county supervisors banned alcohol on I.V.’s beaches, effectively ending the beer-bathed, sun-soaked revelry.

Chilla Vista:
Chilla Vista is an annual art, music and environmental festival in Anisq’ Oyo’ and People’s Park in I.V. Held at the end of spring, the event features local bands, painters and plenty of free spirits. Be sure to bring your hula hoop!

Extravaganza:
Every May, UCSB’s student government hosts a massive free concert in Harder Stadium. Unlike Chilla Vista – which features local bands – Extravaganza brings professional acts from around the country.
