Three years ago, Anthony Hislar was arrested after leading a high-speed chase through UCSB and Isla Vista.

Last week, following a five-day crime spree that involved attempted murder and numerous robberies, Hislar was apprehended while taking a break at Disneyland.

His most recent crime rampage started Sept. 19 with attempted murder and continued with a series of carjackings and robberies. Then, on Sept. 24, the 27-year-old stopped in Anaheim for a Disneyland outing with two people he met on MySpace.

The former Santa Barbara resident’s time at the “Happiest Place on Earth” was cut short, however, when police booked him on suspicion of more than two dozen crimes. His bail is set at $3.4 million.

In 2005, the UCSB Police Dept. arrested Anthony Hislar. During the high-speed pursuit, Hislar raced through I.V. and headed toward campus, where he drove in the wrong direction on Stadium Road.

Hislar’s green Honda Civic Hatchback gave out when he hit a curb and destroyed all four of his tires outside Manzanita Village. Hislar then attempted to escape police capture by jumping down the cliff below the 6500 block of DP, but he failed and was quickly apprehended.

Currently, Hislar is being held in jail in Los Angeles County.
