Man this Scripps National Spelling Bee is quickly turning into the ultimate beauty pageant for Indian families eh? Some kids named Sameer Mishra and Sidharth Chand (my spellcheck just blew up) threw down phonetically for the title Friday. Honestly I couldn’t even tell you who won or if they’re girls or guys but I do know that this isn’t good for their hopes of one day getting laid. They’re really not currying any favors with their classmates. Kids aren’t meant to spend their days reading dictionaries naan stop, before regurgitating answers. How is this not child labor? You might as well force them to memorize instruction booklets and then sit by the phone and answer questions all day.
