In response to the column by Zac Gates, (“Stance on War Should Not Sway Support Away From Troops,” Daily Nexus, Feb. 20) let me say I sincerely agree with his message of stronger support for our troops abroad. I feel we all must honor and support those fellow citizens, who would put a larger cause above their own lives. I would hope, however, we can support the brave young men and women of our country best by bringing them home, where they belong. Freedom may not be free, but why should the burden of paying its price be thrust upon only those who choose to walk the front line? Bring our troops home. Let us honor their presence, and together WE will fight the faceless enemy that is terrorism.
