Bay area hip hop scenesters the Living Legends have been making waves in the music industry for the last 10 years with innovative sounds, politically active lyrics and highly acclaimed releases. A varying roster of talent including MCs and DJs, the Mystik Journeymen, 3 Melancholy Gypsies, Sunspot Jones, Scarub and G&E come together to make some of the best hip hop this side of the Mississippi. Staying true to their independent roots, these guys steer clear of major record labels, corporate radio play and even started out by selling tapes out of the trunk of their car. You can thank your favorite KCSB member for bringing the Living Legends, who are touring in support of their newest album, Classic, our way. Jedi Mind Tricks, Pigeon John and the Protractors, in association with DJ Soulspeak, will accompany the Living Legends on their tour. The show will take place May 7 at the Hub.
