April 24 marks the 90th year since the genocide in Armenia that took the lives of over 1.5 million people. The Armenian Student Association and the Armenian Sisterhood Organization have come together to commemorate the lives lost and bring awareness of the event to the UCSB community. There will be a silent march followed by a reception today where those affected by the genocide and those interested in learning more are invited to participate. The march will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Campbell Hall, and will end at Storke Tower, where there will be performances and speakers who will present speeches and stories of the events that took place in Armenia.
