I’m very disappointed by the choice of our campus buildings’ namesakes. For example, Kerr Hall is not named after Warwick Kerr, the Brazilian geneticist who introduced African killer bees to the Americas. Instead it is named after some former UC president who may or may not be dead. (I’d have to look into this.)
I think Warwick would have been a better choice. A swarm of trained killer bees is just what is needed to protect the building’s oft-stolen multimedia equipment. Also, it would make the Arbor less crowded.
Tuesday’s forecast: If Clark Kerr is still alive, he will be stung to death.
