I can’t make it from one end of the Arbor to the other without being accosted by the flier zombies. Only a week into the quarter, I’ve already accumulated enough coffehouse show ads to kindle a moderate-size fire.

There are two ways of dealing with the flierhumans: 1) Avoid them. Scowl at the ground or sprint through the crowd. 2) If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. You too can stand in the Arbor and hand out paper waste. Offer grocery lists, pages from old readers or someone else’s rèsumè. Most people will accept ANY rubbish rather than be rude. At least, that’s what the fliers I keep getting tell me.

Thursday’s forecast: Arbor bonfire draws crowds… and therefore pamphleteers.
