If you look at the cover of any magazine these days, it seems that Britney Spears has it. If “it” happens to be excessive cleavage, jutting hipbones and flowing extensions, well, then she certainly does have “it.” However, what Miss Spears does not have is talent. This fact has been proven with her previous three albums – … Baby One More Time, Oops! … I Did It Again and Britney – and is now re-proven with this week’s release, In The Zone.

Not only is this entire album a travesty to the music industry, marring record store shelves with Britney’s brand of ridiculous and overproduced pop, but she’s dragged a reputable artist, Madonna, into the muddle as well. The two duet on the album’s worst track, “Me Against the Music,” which sounds so overproduced that Britney’s voice is almost indistinguishable.
