Editor, Daily Nexus,

Early Sunday morning (March 11), my roommate got up to drive to work. She was driving on the freeway at 70 mph when her tire burst. Luckily, she was okay but things could have been much worse. The reason her tire burst was because some asshole slashed the tires of every car parked on Camino Corto the night before. This and all vandalism is unacceptable. You guys are in college and are supposed to be responsible adults. It is times like these that I am so happy to be graduating and moving out of here, ashamed of my classmates. Cars are not your weekend pi–atas. Tires shouldn’t be slashed; mirrors shouldn’t be broken off. I have often found footprints and scratches on the hood of my car. Windows should not be broken. Whomever slashed the tires of the cars parked on Camino Corto need to get off their asses, walk from house to house with an apology and $70 cash for each tire they slashed, and then turn their punk-ass selves in to the police. I know this is far fetched, but next time you are out and get the idea that it would be cool and funny to ruin another person’s belongings, go home and slash your own damn tires. Then, drive down the freeway and hope you make it. This is another reason why rent is so high in this town; people who are adults do not want to rent to college kids that cannot act like adults. Grow up! It might not just be the money that matters so much, but a lack of respect for others in a small, close-knit community. I feel sorry for whoever did this and hope that their pathetic sense of humor catches up to them.
