SB Court Sentences Lee to Jail, Probation

UCSB third-year political science major Joe Lee pled guilty on June 22 at the Santa Barbara Courthouse to charges of felony burglary and receiving stolen property.

Lee was arrested on April 27 in connection with a stolen laptop and resigned from his recently elected position of representative-at-large on the Associated Student’s Legislative Council on May 19. Lee had previously served on the council as an on-campus representative.

According to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, the judge sentenced Lee to 250 days in the Santa Barbara County Jail and three years of formal probation. His incarceration date has yet to be determined as of press time.

It is not “forever” only 250 days (maybe) & then on probation. There is a lot more to the story. He did not just steal one laptop! He has a history & prior incidents of this “sociopathic” behavior.

I don’t know who you are. I know who two of the victims were personally. If this is one of you then wassup!

But if not then I’m not surprised that there are more people out there hurt by him.

Joe and I used to be very good friends until this all unraveled, I feel I have the most unfiltered view of the entire story thus far. You are correct to say he has a tendency towards sociopathic behavior. I have experienced many times myself and it was not just stealing, although he did that to me too.

Joe is a very dangerous person and there are still many who protect him, which is sad.

Really? Forever? I mean he deserves to be punished but forever is a long time for stealing a laptop.
