The Isla Vista Foot Patrol responded to vandalism and several alcohol related crimes this weekend.

Deputies received a report of a male suspect kicking in the door of an apartment on the 800 block of Camino Pescadero at 10:43 p.m. Sunday. According to IVFP Lieutenant Ray Vuillemainroy, deputies apprehended the suspect as he attempted to evade arrest.

“Upon arrival, the reporting party identified the suspect and advised [the deputies] the suspect had damaged an apartment door and then fled into a different apartment,” Vuillemainroy
said. “The deputies knocked on the door and the suspect fled out the back window where deputies were waiting for him. The reporting party signed a citizen’s arrest and the suspect was taken into custody.”

IVFP also handled several alcoholrelated crimes throughout the weekend, citing three people for minors in possession and one for a noise violation.
