“Dine L.A.” is among one of  my favorite Instagram accounts because of their clear and beautifully laid out photos that make my mouth water and my heart happy. The account gathers various users that post about various eateries in Los Angeles that use the hashtag #dineLA for a chance to be featured. Although the varied posts are from different users, “Dine L.A.’s” photos seem as though they are taken by the original-posting account. The photos they choose often use unique photographic angles including bird’s eye view,  low angles and close-ups.

“Dine L.A.” also shares correspondence with “Discover L.A.” which features characterizable locations in the greater Los Angeles area, including Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles International Airport and of course the beautiful beaches. “Discover L.A.” has a little over 100,000 followers while “Dine L.A.” almost has 700,000. I hope after reading this review that you’ll follow this account whether you’re an L.A. native or visitor!

Another one of my favorites is @hungryinla, where the blogger, Eddie, chronicles his food experiences at various eateries as a “writer,” “traveler,” “photographer” and “L.A. native.” His high-quality photos with similar camera angles to “Dine L.A.” highlights the delicious details of the delight. After launching his account in 2009, he single-handedly created his own following of almost 24,000. Eddie’s succinct, yet detailed captions allow users to have a good understanding of how his food experience felt through his description using his five senses.

Similar to “Dine L.A.,” “City Girl Bites LA” posts photos featuring L.A. eateries. However, all of her photos are original since it is her own self-run account with almost 5,000 followers. Her photos are not my favorite because of her dull, overly-saturated, awkward angles and odd borders that make her photos not the characteristic square well-known to Instagram. But the eateries she mentions in her posts are worthwhile enough for me to click the follow button.

More often than not, “L.A. Foodies’” account consists of close-ups of mostly fancy, delectable desserts with the rare inclusion of more substantial foods like hamburgers, sandwiches and pizza. Similar to the first account I recommended, “Dine L.A.,” “L.A. Foodies” accumulates photos from other users who post with the hashtag “#2LAFOODIES.” Their overall look seems as though the photos are taken by one photographer, but the admin of the page conscientiously posts photos that look similar in close-up angles of the mouth-watering food. Even if you don’t live in LA, you should definitely follow “L.A. Foodies” to satisfy your eyes and hopefully your stomach if you’re lucky enough to visit these eateries!
