Campus To Close Sport, Exercise Department
With the university facing an unprecedented budget shortfall, UCSB’s administration has announced its plans to close the Exercise and Sports Studies Department by the end of the school year.

For their second straight home game, the Gauchos (12-4 overall, 3-2 Big West) scratched and clawed their way to a five-set victory after allowing their opponents to pull ahead in the early going. This weekend, Cal Poly (6-13, 2-4) was the visitor that tasted defeat, dropping set four 25-20 and set five 15-12 after charging to a 2-1 set advantage. The win was a big one for Santa Barbara, righting ship against a determined Mustang team after dropping its previous two conference matchups.
