Gauchos Use Wind, Power in Bakersfield Comeback

After Cal State Bakersfield knocked the Gaucho bullpen around in the fifth inning by driving in seven runs, it looked as though the Roadrunners (8-25) were ready to live up to their title and run away with an upset on the road. A resilient UC Santa Barbara baseball team (20-10) had other ideas, though, and powered by a pair of wind-aided homers from senior outfielder John DeAlba and freshman catcher Bryce Tafelski, UCSB would come all the way back to edge out an 8-7 win.

Mirah Shows Another Side at SOhO

A roommate, a classmate and my favorite cat lady all bailed on our plan of going to see Mirah last Wednesday evening at SOhO, but I didn’t let it get me down. I headed downtown all by my lonesome to hear three very lovely ladies sing, banter, tell stories and giggle; and I can assure you it was an evening well spent.
