Have you ever met someone and after spending five minutes talking to them you think to yourself, “Oh my god that girl is fuckin’ crazy.” Or did you ever walk down the street when you were little asking your parents why that man using a shopping cart as a closet is talking to himself and heard your parents respond, “Don’t worry honey that man is just crazy.” People throw the word crazy around like it’s a hot potato fresh out of the oven.
After a tough three weeks on the road that resulted in a 3-3 record, the UCSB women’s soccer team is finally home to rumble with Big West foe Cal State Northridge tonight. The Gauchos (8-5 overall, 1-1 in the Big West) went through Hawaii and Arizona before cruising Southern California last weekend for their Big West openers. Head Coach Paul Stumpf said that there’s no place like home.

Before I start, I would just like to add that in no way do I consider myself an expert, or even a guru on the subject, but simply a guy who lives in a house with 40 guys and observes his fair share. With that being said, college is a time to explore your sexual fantasies and have fun. It’s a time we can look back at and say, “We were just a bunch of kids runnin’ around.” However, when you and your partner reach the point of asking yourselves, “Are we going to get hopped enough and make some bad decisions?”, there is an etiquette to be followed.
The men’s club soccer team continues league action this weekend against Southern California foes San Diego State University and University of San Diego. The Gauchos (4-0-2 overall, 1-0-1 in league) look to keep their unbeaten streak alive as well as repeat as the California College Cup Soccer League champions. And we’re not talking about a simple repeat, three-peat or even four-peat. The Gauchos are going after an unprecedented seven-peat as CCCSL champions. However, their work will be cut out for them as SDSU and USD are very formidable opponents.
With only a few weeks left in the race for 3rd District Supervisor, Doreen Farr maintains a substantial financial lead over Steve Pappas.
I love fashion. I’ve loved it since the age of two when I saw my first fashion show. I learned how to hand sew when I was seven and got my sewing machine six years later. Since age 14, I’ve designed my own clothes, showing two collections for my clothing label, Jolee. Yes, I was THE fashionista in high school. Because I’m so immersed in couture, it’s natural for me to look for cute outfits when others look for cute people. I was afraid that at UCSB, everyone would saunter in their PJs, but I was pleasantly surprised to find some with their own unique styles, even though some are far cries from my Victoria-Beckham-meets-Rihanna style.
Big news everyone: Hockey season has begun! That’s right, it’s that time of year again for Canada and Russia’s best to knock the living crap out of each other, and for the QB to not care.
