One week after falling to #1 UCLA, the #17 UCSB women’s water polo team continue their tough conference schedule when #2 Stanford and #8 San Jose State come into town this weekend, before heading to San Diego to take on SDSU on Sunday.
A couple big innings from the Gaucho offense and a well-pitched debut from one of their young arms led the UCSB Baseball team to an impressive 9-3 victory over visiting Cal State Northridge. With the win, the Gauchos (7-3 overall) remain undefeated at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium and will go into their weekend series with Houston University riding a four-game winning streak.

After division rival Cal Poly (6-3) upset the UCSB men’s tennis (3-4) team last Sunday, the Gauchos look to bounce back against #53 UC Irvine on Saturday at 1 p.m. and UC Riverside (2-6) on Sunday at noon.
This weekend the UCSB track and field team will be running for more than just fast times – as the Gauchos will be running for peace when they travel to Aliso Viejo, Ca. for the third annual “Soka University Peace Invitational.”
