Mind, Body, and Soul: Pill Popping Pervades our Society

I decided to do an experiment that might threaten my health and well being to be able to write an entertaining column for all my loyal readers – all five of you. So through illicit means – which are all too easy these days – I obtained two Ambien pills and took them around 8:00 p.m. Quick FYI: Ambien is a Food and Drug Administration-approved prescription drug to help people with insomnia.

Storms Lead to Blood Shortage

The blood bank is offering some sweet treats to anyone willing to strap down and squeeze out a pint.

The Rain and Reynolds

Breath coming in bursts, a pack of paparazzi, reporters and assorted onlookers stood on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Opening Night and prepared for the eagerly anticipated arrival of stars like Abigail Breslin, Ryan Reynolds, Dennis Franz and Alan Thicke – yes, that’s right, Alan Thicke.

The Great Cate

The Santa Barbara Film Festival presented the versatile actress with its highest honor – the Modern Master Award – and treated her fans to a two-hour interview and a selection of film clips as part of the award ceremony.
