I can’t help but be disgusted by the story about a 6-year-old who was suspended from kindergarten last week after showing up with a Mohawk. I can see suspending someone for growing a mullet, but to punish a kid for having the balls – albeit balls that haven’t dropped yet – to bust out the Mo’ is ridiculous and downright un-American. Kindergarten is about expressing yourself; whether it’s with your hair, your finger paintings, or your desire to constantly pull the ponytail of the girl sitting next to you and then tell her she has cooties. You shouldn’t be punished for being different. Hell, I took a briefcase to my first day of kindergarten and look how I turned out!
