Thursday (2/15/07): Combining Cajun rhythms with a little bit of country and a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll, BeauSoleil is guaranteed to spice things up at Campbell Hall tonight. Plus, where else are you going to see live zydeco playing in Santa Barbara? The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $19 for UCSB students.

Friday (2/16/07): Laugh it up at Improvability’s weekly show tonight. This talented troupe is fresh off their anti-Valentine’s Day show and guaranteed to help get you over your Hallmark-induced hangover. Plus, tickets to the 8 p.m. show at Embarcadero Hall are just $3 for students, so you’ll have plenty of cash left over to splurge on those on-sale chocolates and teddy bears.

Saturday (2/17/07): As if one night of comedy wasn’t enough, Associated Students Program Board is bringing comedian Brian Scolaro to the Hub tonight. Scolaro will be joined by Dan Smith, and the show starts at 9 p.m.

Sunday (2/18/07): Rock out with some good old fashioned reggae, as local favorites Iration join British band Steel Pulse at the Ventura Theatre tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $30. According to Iration’s myspace page, “It’s gonna be off da hook!”

Monday (2/19/07): Jazz up your Monday, and check out self-proclaimed ‘spiritual jazz’ musician Dwight Trible at SOhO tonight. Trible will be backed up by a band that includes piano player and composer John Beasley, Gary Novak on drums and bassist Trevor Ware.The show starts at 8 p.m.

Tursday (2/20/07): Still haven’t seen “Borat?” Check out one last chance to enjoy the sight of the lovely and talented Sacha Baron Cohenin a G-string tonight, as ASPB presents a screening of the film at I.V. Theater. Screenings start at 7:30 and 10 p.m., and tickets are free for students.

Wednesday (2/21/07): Experience a rocky mountain high tonight, as the Best of the 31st Annual Banff Mountain Film Festival comes to Campbell Hall. The festival showcases the world’s best films and videos on mountain subjects and sports, and screenings start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for UCSB students and youth 18 and under are $10.
