The Spanish & Portuguese Dept. is mourning the loss of director and professor Timothy McGovern who passed away Monday morning from unknown causes. Undergraduate Advisor Molly Okuneff said McGovern, 41, was at his mother’s house in Simi Valley Sunday evening when he collapsed at around 7:30 p.m.
The UCSB women’s volleyball team extended its longest winning streak of the season to four matches last night as it defeated Pepperdine by scores of 30-24, 30-24 and 30-19. The Gauchos have been unstoppable in their last three matches, sweeping their opponents in each of the three meetings.
