I began this piece with daggers for the newspaper that you happen to be reading, but now that I have more information, I am writing to you to report a colossal fuck-up. Apparently, the version of the new A.S. With eyes twinkling Barry Spacks said, “[Poets] share so much intensity – like a vibrant string … Poets live dangerously, especially when young. They get in trouble with the opposite sex, and that they [reach] maturity is a wonder.”
A fuel spill in the Santa Barbara Harbor yesterday morning left gallons of fuel in the water and a local charter boat company facing at least one citation from local authorities.
Twenty of the top athletes on the UCSB track and field team will make their pilgrimage to track and field’s holy land in Eugene, Ore. to compete in the Oregon Invitational starting today and ending Saturday.
As a member of the Campus Elections Committee, I was appalled to see flyers being distributed to students with the claim that our current staff members are also involved with the Open People’s Party. We were not previously, nor are we currently, involved with the campaign process of either party.
