After 10 days of back-to-back movie viewing, reviewing, discussing and disliking, one’s appreciation for a sub-par trip to the cinema is all but shot. Lucky for us, Sunday night’s closing film, “Thank You for Smoking,” more than lived up to its hype.

It’s ba-ack. That’s right, “The Animation Show” has survived its second year and is coming to an end right back where it started: Santa Barbara. “The Animation Show” is the brain child of Mike Judge, creator of “Beavis and Butt-Head” and “King of the Hill,” and Don Hertzfeldt, whose “Rejected” short earned him an Oscar nomination.

You have to wonder what happened to Harrison Ford. Throughout the ’80s and ’90s, he was one of the most bankable actors in Hollywood and arguably the biggest star in the world. However, it seems that the assortment of recent films featuring this once larger-than-life icon, who played Han Solo and Indiana Jones, have dramatically declined in both novelty and general appeal.

Men’s Baseball: Santa Barbara Pitching Struggles in Loss
For the second straight game, the UCSB baseball team gave up a big first inning and was not able to catch up, falling 16-11 to #25 USC. Freshman pitcher Brandt Hill, making his first start as a Gaucho, walked four batters in the first inning and allowed five runs.
