Yearbook Looks to Increase Participation
From now until Feb. 3, members of the La Cumbre staff hope to tempt seniors into their yearbook with one of three Apple iPod nanos. Photographers from Lauren Studios will take seniors’ portraits on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until next Friday, at a booth located beneath Storke Tower.

PAC/GPAC Presents Revised Plan
Community leaders and residents discussed changes to the constantly evolving Isla Vista Community Center plan last night that slate completion of the facility for 2010. The Isla Vista Project Area Committee and General Plan Advisory Committee (PAC/GPAC) met at the University Religious Center to discuss the status of the community center, which will eventually be built in Estero Park.

Adam Curtis’ BBC documentary, titled “The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of the Politics of Fear,” played at Campbell Hall this Monday to a sizeable audience ready to revel in what promised to be a Bush-bashing free-for-all. The three-hour film had originally been released as a three-part series on the BBC in 2004.
