The only thing I miss about high school is the suspensions. Remember how exciting it was when you or somebody you knew was suspended for the day and the whole school was ablaze in gossip.
With the start of what looks to be the warmest winter Santa Barbara has seen in years, we here at Artsweek cannot help but get a little giddy at the thought of a new quarter. For us at least, the next few months promise to be action-packed with concerts, events, premieres and festivals that are sure to delight even the pickiest of art critics and the most judgmental of film students.
I use Yahoo! for my e-mail, which means messages that are identified by the system as “spam” are automatically ignored and placed into a bulk e-mail folder. I had assumed that this folder was full of useless scam e-mails designed to pry away my precious dollars on the false promise of things like additional penis girth and free iPods. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
