Saso’s candor is refreshing, much like masturbation itself. Yet amidst his article’s liberating aspects, I am troublesomely reminded of the plague that is female sexuality. We either sheepishly deny our enjoyment of, and participation in, masturbation, objectify ourselves by bragging about it – a trivializing, fem-effacing mistake of which I myself am guilty – or heaven forbid, simply refuse to try. (Really girls, heaven forbids it.)
To all of you boys who are convinced that girls are as sex-obsessed as you are, that we waste away hours in search of the perfect orgasm; to all of you who utilize visions of naked sweat-laden girls pleasuring themselves to aid your own quest for climax, you may rest assured that your dreams are a reality. To all of you ladies who believe that all females conquer our boredom by baking cookies and having sing-a-longs like you do, well, you obviously don’t have friends like me.

It’s happened about once every Saturday so far this quarter. My roommate Carl and I venture to the Study Hall to spend our day staring into empty pitchers of Coors Light and at the myriad of plasma screens available for our college football viewing pleasure.
Why is it that a liaison with my TA is the only thing I can concentrate on in section? Of course, my fantasies are always a little far-fetched, mostly because if I took time to actually plot out the reality, I know I’d ruin whatever chance I had with uncontrollable laughter. We’d have to keep stopping every time I thought about the chorus from Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher.”
Six years after being suspended from campus for hazing, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity received its UCSB charter last weekend, once again becoming an official chapter of the national fraternity.
The UCSB men’s rugby team continued its preseason tinkering with a match at Santa Monica this weekend. With a 47-21 lead, Head Coach Kevin Battle pulled the entire first team, giving the second team an opportunity to get in some playing time. However, Santa Monica made a comeback, tying the game at 47-47, sending the Gauchos home with a draw.
