Ending more than 11 years of negotiations, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday that the county will buy the undeveloped section of blufftop on the 6700 block of Del Playa Drive.
Fourteen of UCSB’s top track and field athletes will travel to Austin, Texas, to compete in the three-day Texas Relays today. When freshman second baseman Alden Carrithers steps into the batter’s box to lead off for UCSB baseball, he probably doesn’t leave opponents shaking in their boots. Associated Students Finance Board allocated the majority of its Spring Quarter budget at Monday’s meeting, most of which was spent debating and revising the amount of funding given to Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE) Fraternity. Members gave $6,217.30 to 14 groups including PIKE, which requested $2,400 for its annual Fight Night.
