A.S. Election Endorsements: A.S. President

And then there were… none. The Nexus editorial board did not reach a consensus on its endorsement for A.S. president. Though Bill Shiebler brings his valuable experience as A.S. Sophomore Brooke Julicher scored three goals, and sophomore Shanna Mota added two goals and an assist to pace UCSB as the Gauchos ran their record to 14-0 with one game remaining.

Adam Graff once wrote an opinion column claiming the “honeymoon” between him and the Nexus was over. Oh Adam, we never stopped loving you. You’re even cuter when you’re mad. Passionate, articulate and with a knowledge of A.S. and campus issues that blows every other candidate for every other office out of the water, Graff embodies every quality a student politician should.

In its meeting Wednesday morning, the California Coastal Commission (CCC) will determine the fate of free on-street parking in Isla Vista. Following an appeal filed by the Santa Barbara chapter of the Surfrider Foundation in December 2004, the CCC has revised the Santa Barbara County planning agency’s proposal for a parking permit plan in I.V. to increase the amount of free coastal access that would be available once the plan is implemented.
