W. Water Polo: #1 UCLA Claims Gaucho Invite
The best women’s water polo players in the country were in Santa Barbara this weekend to participate in the Daktronics Gaucho Invitational. UCSB (7-5 overall, 1-2 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) went 3-2 on the weekend to finish the tournament in sixth place, while top-ranked UCLA continued its undefeated season by going 5-0 to win the tournament championship.
Fullerton Jolts Depleted UCSB
Even with the return of The Phantom to the Thunderdome, the UCSB men’s basketball team had little to smile about Thursday night in its 66-57 loss to Fullerton. The Titans came in third place in the Big West and only widened the gap between the upper echelon and doldrums of the conference.
