I would really like to take this time to thank the Isla Vista Foot Patrol, UC Police Dept., Community Service Organization and volunteers that helped make this Halloween a safe one for residents of Isla Vista. I know that all the extra security measures sucked because they kept a lot of out-of-towners out and a lot of parties from happening, but we could have had a lot of damage, violence and other negative incidents if it weren’t for all the officers and volunteers who patrolled I.V. We all know you guys get a lot of crap for what you do, but thank you for keeping us safe and for all the work you do, especially this last weekend.
