Tonight, one of music’s most influential and legendary icons will be paying UCSB a visit. Bob Dylan will be performing at the Events Center along with his band. Who knows what he’ll be playing? For a night of Indian classical music, head over to the MultiCultural Center Theater on Friday, where famous santoor player Tarun Bhattacharya accompanied by Homnath Upadhyaya on tabla will be performing. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for the general public. The performance starts at 7 p.m. Magic Lantern Films will also be hosting a double feature Friday night.. The screenings will take place at Isla Vista Theater 1. Richard Linklater’s “Before Sunrise” will be shown at 7:30 p.m. followed by the sequel, “Before Sunset” at 10 p.m. The pair of films star Ethan Hawke, so there’s enough of a reason to check it out, right? The price of $4 will get in into both movies.

Tonight is the perfect night to check out Riverdance at the Arlington Theatre. The Boyne Company is spreading their masterful Irish steps across North America, and they’re here at the Arlington for three nights only. Monday night, Arts & Lectures will be presenting a screening of “Since Otar Left,” winner of the Critic’s Week Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The Associated Students Program Board will be hosting a screening of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” the third installment of the immensely popular series. The screening will be held at Isla Vista Theater. There will be a showing at 7:30 p.m. and another at 10 p.m. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for the general public. Also tonight, Arts & Lectures is hosting a reading by acclaimed novelist T.C. Boyle. He is the author of nine novels, including Riven Rock, The Road to Wellville and the National Book Award-nominated Drop City. He will read from his latest work The Inner Circle. The reading will take place at Campbell Hall beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for the general public.

Arts & Lectures will be presenting a lecture from Irshad Manji titled “Confessions of a Muslim Reformer: Why I Fight for Women, Jews and Pluralism.” Manji, recipient of the Simon Wiesenthal Award of Valor and Oprah Winfrey’s first annual Chutzpah Award for “audacity, nerve and conviction” will be expounding on a number of topics.
