Editor, Daily Nexus,

It’s election time, and once again I am promoting that we get out and vote.

Most of my family members own businesses, so ambition is very much a part of me. I remember the first business course I had at Santa Barbara City College with Professor Peter Naylor. We had a guest speaker by the name of Brooks Firestone. He presented a case study that was very good. Before and after the presentation, we talked about his son Andrew, who I have known since second grade. That was not the first time I saw Brooks on campus.

In fact, about the same time I was a student senator – a position that allowed me to represent over 10,000 college students on various issues – Brooks visited the campus with Sen. Jack O’Connell. I later read that Brooks Firestone was the head of the Higher Education Committee. He certainly cherishes education, and often that is the basis for wise decision makings.

Brooks has experience working at the state level and the contacts to get the job done. I am convinced that Brooks would lead in a selfless manner at the local level and the state level. So, whether you are Republican, Democrat, Independent or undecided, join me in voting for the best candidate to lead the 3rd District. Join me in voting for Brooks Firestone.
