A student was raped on campus last Saturday, April 21, the UC Santa Barbara Police Department reported on Tuesday.

Police arrested the suspect one day later, according to a university alert sent to students on Tuesday afternoon.

The rape occurred this Saturday in the “early morning hours,” according to the alert.

The suspect was known to the victim and is described as a five-and-a-half-foot tall male with brown eyes and black hair.
