On Thursday, March 8, the Isla Vista Tenants Union will be hosting a movie night at 6:30 p.m. A documentary about housing insecurity will be showing at the Community Resource Building behind Naan Stop. There will be plenty of snacks such as popcorn, IV Drip and cookiewiches! The IVTU will also be available to answer housing-related questions. Stop by to meet new people and get educated about housing issues.



On Thursday, March 8, from 7 to 9 p.m., Odd Army and Careless Cub will be playing at Rincon Brewery. Careless Club will be playing from 7 to 7:45 p.m., and Odd Army will be performing from 8 to 9 p.m. They will be playing as part of a fundraiser for all of the current wildfire reparation efforts. All ages are welcome. Buy some pizza and beer while supporting a good cause and listening to some groovy tunes.



On Friday, March 9, Magic Lantern Films will be showing “The Shape of Water” at 7 p.m. “The Shape of Water” is set in Cold War America and is about a woman named Elisa who works in a government laboratory and finds a classified experiment. Bring some friends to this Oscar-winning film.



Join the Isla Vista Food Co-Op on Friday, March 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. to try some savory apple pizzas. You can taste this delicious healthy snack while learning about the Co-Op’s in-store HowGood sustainability rating system. The HowGood coordinator will be there to answer questions. Enjoy a treat and get educated.



On Saturday, March 10, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., the Isla Vista Food Co-Op is hosting a Persian New Year tea workshop. Bring your friends and come learn about about the Persian New Year, Nowruz, and how it is celebrated in different countries. You will be able to taste three different varieties of black tea. Do not miss this exciting opportunity to learn about a beautiful culture.



On Sunday, March 11, from 9:45 a.m. to noon, the Isla Vista Food Co-Op will be hosting a yoga session followed by a build-a-bowl açai brunch, all for only $5! The yoga class will be led by Yoga Isla Vista. Do not forget to bring a yoga mat and a towel. Start off dead week with relaxation and food.



On Tuesday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Isla Vista Co-Op will be hosting a cheese tasting event. They just updated their cheese set, and they are ready for you to try it all! Do not forget to stop by and be prepared to try new things.



Stop by the Isla Vista Co-Op on Wednesday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. to taste some fresh and delicious produce! Bring some pals and come to relax before finals. Get ready for a boost to your mind and body. Time to get healthy, Gauchos!
