It’s that time of year again when the known as pumpkin spice comes into full swing. Everywhere you go there are pumpkin-spiced treats: cafes, restaurants, bakeries — even Bath & Body Works. If you want to stay home, though, fret not! You too can recreate this delicious taste.

Here’s a UCSB twist on the beloved flavor: Pumpkin Spice Jungle Juice. This will guarantee a crazy, action-packed night on DP, or at least decent exposure on the Instagram hashtag #PumpkinSpice4Life.

Ingredients are not limited to but include:

4 gallons vodka: Cheap, traditional, easy to drink. It takes a lot to satisfy the needs of the party.

3 gallons whiskey: It probably won’t be a night you’ll remember, but at least you can say you went out with a bang.

2 cups pureed pumpkin: Really? Do you even need an explanation?

4 cups ground cinnamon: Let’s be honest here because nobody actually drinks pumpkin spice for the pumpkin.

2 gallons spiced rum: It never hurts to add more spice — more alcohol.

1 giant pumpkin: Add the ultimate authentic touch by carving out an entire pumpkin to pour in your jungle juice.

4 tbsps student’s tears: Thanks to UCSB’s lovely quarter system, Halloween coincides perfectly with midterm season. What better way to encapsulate such desperation and terror than by giving it that distinctive flavor all UCSB students know too well?

2 pounds crushed Halloween candy: Preferably stolen from the pillowcase of an innocent child dressed up as a Darth Vader; store-bought is also fine.
