A possible sexual assault occurred Saturday night at an unknown fraternity in Isla Vista, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department reported Sunday.

According to a university crime alert, police received a report at approximately 11:15 p.m. that a female victim had been sexually assaulted in I.V.

The victim told police that she recalled the location of the assault as a fraternity, but did not know the address. The suspect is an unidentified male, according to police.

She also told police that the suspect “potentially drugged” her using at least two different methods before the assault occurred, according to the alert.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department and the UC Police Department are both investigating the assault. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call 805-681-4171 or use the SB sheriff anonymous tip site.
