GIMME PIZZA
Pride @UCSB will be holding a fundraiser Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pizza My Heart. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to Pride @UCSB when mentioned at the register.

OPEN MIC
KCSB 91.9 FM is hosting a night of stand-up, spoken word and musical performances at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Giovanni’s Pizza (6583 Pardall Road). Those interested in performing can sign up at the event or email promotion@kcsb.org beforehand.

WALLFLOWER
Acacia Counseling and Wellness (948 Embarcadero Del Norte) will be screening “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The movie will be followed by a talk on suicide given by Shyam Sriram, a political science graduate student. Light refreshments will be provided.

CHALLAH BACK
UCSB Challah for Hunger hosts a bread sale from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday on the I.V. Food Co-op patio. The purpose of the sale is to raise money and awareness for social justice causes.

WINTER WONDERLAND
People’s Park will be covered in snow Friday night as part of the “Fall Into Winter” event hosted by the A.S. Isla Vista Community Relations Committee (IVCRC). Starting at 6 p.m., IVCRC will create a space for students to snack, receive free scantrons, dance, lounge on couches and play in the snow.

COMEDY DUEL
UCSB’s premier improv troupe will be taking on arch nemesis Cal Poly in a duel of comedy in Embarcadero Hall Friday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Organizers request that students wear UCSB gear to show their support.

TO SPEAK FOR THE TREES
Your Children’s Trees will be planting trees at Coal Oil Point Reserve from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Organizers advise that interested volunteers bring water and wear closed toe shoes and long pants. Biking to the reserve is also recommended.

YOGA
The Isla Vista Food Co-op is hosting a “Beach Brunch Yoga” session on Saturday morning, a free class led by Better Days Yoga with free brunch afterward. Organizers ask that participants first meet on the Co-op patio (6575 Seville Rd.) at 10:45 a.m. and then walk over to a nearby park. Those interested must bring a mat or towel and must sign an event waiver. Free brunch is provided only for those who participate in the yoga session.

MR. BFOM
BFOM (Brothas From Otha Mothas), a male student a cappella group, will be taking the stage for the first time this year in a friendly competition among members. The competition will be held in Embarcadero Hall on Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.

VEGAN
A local group called Food Not Bombs will serve free vegan food at 5 p.m. Sunday in Little Acorn Park (next to Bagel Cafe). Those interested in cooking can email organizers at foodnotbombsislavista@gmail.com. This dinner is regularly held every Sunday.

FREE FOOD
As part of its Gaucho Food Program, the Isla Vista Tenants Union and the I.V. Food Co-op will be tabling outside the Pardall Center on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to give away free food to UCSB students. This food giveaway is regularly held every Wednesday.
