Yesterday, the Associated Students Program Board hosted “Come Together: Remember, Reconnect, and Unite” at Storke Plaza to promote a safer, healthier UCSB/Isla Vista community in remembrance to the six students who lost their lives during the May 23rd tragedy.
The 5,000 students attended the event, not the least motivated by swirling rumors that UCSB alumni Jack Johnson and rock musicians Animal Liberation Orchestra were going to give a surprise performance.
The students were not disappointed. Johnson and the orchestra entertained a warm and welcoming crowd for a good hour and a half.
