Do you enjoy laughing? Of course you do. Unless you’re a robot. And even a robot will be able to enjoy the great weekly event Laughology.

Laughology, which has been around for several years now, takes place every Saturday at 8 p.m. in Embarcadero Hall. There, local comedians from around campus do stand-up acts followed by professional comedians who have been in films, TV shows, late night shows, comedy specials and more. It’s a popular event for students and locals, and better yet, it’s free!

This Saturday, June 2, Laughology will be doing something a little different and hosting a charity event for the Isla Vista Teen Center. While the show is still free, donations are requested to help the worthy cause. The teen center is a place where at-risk teens and their families can get help and feel safe. IVTC creates educational and recreational opportunities like sports tournaments, field trips, dances and other activities. The suggested donation is around $3, but any donations to this cause are welcome.

If you do decide to donate, it will be money well spent, because this week’s headliner is Erik Griffin, one of the stars of Comedy Central’s hit show “Workaholics.” He has also done comedy all around the United States and Canada and has done specials with Comedy Central and Showtime.

So come out, enjoy some quality comedy and support a good cause!
