The International House of Pancakes is giving away free pancakes today in celebration of National Pancake Day.

The event goes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at all restaurant locations. IHOP created the event in 2006 to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and local charities.

The company has served about 10.1 million buttermilk pancakes and raised $5.35 million since the inaugural event. IHOP expects to raise $2.3 million this year, exceeding last year’s fundraiser of $2.1 million.

Local locations include restaurants at 4765 Calle Real and 1701 State Street.
