The Isla Vista Foot Patrol responded to two sexual assaults, two burglaries and several alcohol-related incidents this weekend.

Deputies received a report of a sexual assault on the 6700 block of Pasado Road early Saturday morning. According to IVFP Lieutenant Ray Vuillemainroy, detectives are currently searching for the suspect.

“The suspect is still outstanding and we are investigating this incident,” he said.

Vuillemainroy said further details are unavailable in order to avoid interference with the ongoing case.

The second sexual assault occurred early Sunday morning on the 6500 block of El Colegio Road. Vuillemainroy said the victim was familiar with the suspect prior to the assault and helped deputies make an arrest. Authorities are still investigating the incident.

Deputies also responded to two burglaries throughout the weekend.

The first burglary occurred on the 6700 block of Del Playa Drive on Friday at 10:25 a.m. Vuillemainroy said the victim reported that the thief stole a laptop.

Deputies responded to a second burglary on the 700 block of Camino del Sur on Sunday afternoon. However, Vuillemainroy said the victim did not provide details about the stolen items.

“The victim said that somebody broke into the apartment and stole his deejay equipment,” Vuillemainroy said. “He gave us very little information.”

Officers also handled several alcohol-related crimes over the weekend, citing eight people for open containers, four for minor in possession and four for noise ordinance violations. Three individuals were arrested for public intoxication.
